Stumbled across scans for a great Macross Delta artbook, Walküre ga Tomaranai Special Illustration Book. I don’t remember being really into Delta at the time, but somehow the characters really stuck with me. Freyja in particular is bordering on waifu material!

I haven’t watched it yet, but Western Wolves is looking like it’s going to delivery everything Ikkitousen fans have come to expect and be faithful to the manga! Hope to watch very soon.
Probably the single best magazine for bishoujo art out there, the latest edition of Dengeki Moeoh came out a few days ago. A pretty complete pool of scans is now up at yande.re! As usual, the selection of art is amazing, from cute to sexy, it covers all bases. Of the 4 profiled this time, my highlight artist would be Muririn!
Probably my favourite bishoujo artist of all time, the amazing Kantoku has released his usual new illustration doujinshi at comiket. Renka blog kindly took some photos so we can see a sample of what this god-like illustrator has in store for us this time:
AkibaBlog posts about the release of the new bride Ram figure. It’s 1/7 and designed to complement the previous bride Rem.
I have bride Rem proudly displayed on my shelf so I was keeping my eye on this one to see if it would go well. It’s definitely a great figure with the same sexy lingerie style. Since Ram is more flat chested the pose seems to draw your eyes to the ass more!
Overall though it doesn’t look as great as Rem so might have to pass..

Another artist I’m fond of on Pixiv who focus on drawing pretty girls. He attends Comiket but isn’t a super prominent circle yet. I think his artwork shows a lot of talent and he’s good at bringing out the sexuality of the girls.
He clearly had a thing for LLENN there for a while as she took over his timeline!
Of all things, Christmas eve in Akiba featured a couple of cute girls in santa costumes giving out promotional leaflets for the next-season anime Domestic na Konojo! The innovative advertising techniques of Japan never fail to amaze me.
The leaflet is actually a promotional postcard, and when unfolded it features the two main girls nude, nipples and all. My interest in this show has risen..
Asagawo Blog posted a particularly tasty cosplay photoset for their cosplay of the day – Illya, Kuro and Miyu in their famous micro-bikini + knee-high socks combination. It’s a winning formula, I have to say!

Another artist who has been around for a few years who doesn’t seem to have gone pro. Started off doing mainly Touhou he’s now branched out into a variety of topics and his artwork is becoming more and more alluring. Vivid colours and nice intricate details but also very good at the female form.
Scans recently surfaced on yande.re of a doujinshi Artbook from Akihito Tsukushi (under the circle name Doorbeetle). It was originally published in 2 parts at Comiket 75 and 78.
If you’re not familiar with the name, he’s the Mangaka behind Made in Abyss. His artwork has an astonishing level of organic detail and creative flourishes and that’s on full display in his earlier doujinshi works. His world and creature designs are always so rich with imagination! He also has an obsession with lolis and shota that slips into his artwork quite often (can’t complain about the former).
They should make an anime out of this world too!
